A former Executive Director of the Indiana Republican Party and former Indiana state legislator, Luke Messer is a conservative leader with a proven record of reform.

Luke’s Record Shows:
1) In the Indiana General Assembly, Luke received a 100% rating from Indiana Right to Life and has worked to support local right to life efforts. Understanding that actions are more important than words, in 2005, Luke co-founded Child Share Indiana, a faith-based, not-for-profit organization that advocates for Indiana foster children and their foster families, seeking to get the faith community more engaged for children in foster care.
2) Luke is a champion for 2nd Amendment rights. In the Indiana General Assembly, Luke had a 100% voting record to protect the freedoms outlined in the 2nd Amendment and received an ‘A’ rating from the NRA.
3) Luke is a fiscal conservative. As a member of the Indiana House Ways and Means Committee, Luke helped craft the state’s first balanced budget in eight years–a budget that, without a tax increase, turned a $600 million deficit into a $300 million surplus in a single year. Because of his fiscally conservative leadership, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and other pro-business organizations, endorsed Luke.

In Congress, Luke Will Stand On Conservative Principles And Will:
1) Fight to reduce the ballooning national government and debt, oppose government bailouts of big corporations and fight against additional spending on so-called “economic stimulus packages.”
2) Be a champion for efforts to get our economy going again by reducing federal government spending, cutting taxes across the board and putting jobs first.
3) Support market-based health-care reform and oppose government-run “public options” in health care. Luke will also oppose health-care rationing, denial of health care and government funding of abortion.
4) Support market-based energy reforms and oppose legislation creating any type of “cap-and-trade” system that would increase energy costs
5) Oppose “card check” efforts to allow unions to form by majority sign-up, instead of secret-ballot elections set up by employers
6) Oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants.
7) Be a champion for our men and women in uniform as they fight to protect us from America’s enemies. Fight to keep America safe and preserve the peace by making sure our military is strong. Follow military recommendations and support troop surges in Iraq and Afghanistan while also working to contain Iran and North Korea and eliminate their nuclear weapons threat.
8) Support existing federal law that defines marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman and gives states the right to not recognize same-sex marriages that are legal in other states.
9) Be a champion for the U.S. Constitution and support a clear constitutional interpretation of the 2nd amendment that protects the freedom to keep and bear arms and oppose government restrictions on gun ownership.
