Biden Fundraises for Joe Donnelly
February 09, 2018
INDIANAPOLIS (Friday, Feb. 9, 2018) — Former Vice President Joe Biden is hosting a fundraiser for Democrat Joe Donnelly in Indianapolis today, proving once again Donnelly’s out of step with Hoosiers.
“Joe Donnelly is courting Washington liberals instead of fighting for Hoosiers,” Messer said. “Hoosiers want to see President Trump’s agenda passed, and Joe Donnelly is standing in the way almost every time. Joe voted against the President’s tax cuts that are already delivering higher wages, more jobs and a stronger economy for Hoosiers. Indiana deserves a Senator who votes with working families 100 percent of the time.”
More than 1.5 million Hoosiers voted for President Trump, but Joe Donnelly is voting to block the Trump agenda 65 percent of the time.
- Joe Donnelly voted with Obama/Biden 86 percent of the time
- Joe Donnelly has voted with Trump/Pence 35 percent of the time
Under President Trump, the U.S. economy added 200,000 new jobs in January, and wages rose at the fastest pace in more than eight years. The unemployment rate is the lowest its been since 2000.
Joe Biden isn’t the only big name Washington Democrat fundraising for Donnelly. Chuck Schumer held a fundraiser for Joe Donnelly in Houston at the end of last month, just days after Schumer and the Senate Democrats shut down the government.
According to recent ratings, Donnelly’s approval is on a downslide, dropping 7 points since the first quarter of 2017. Donnelly’s net approval dropped 11 points among independents and 12 points among Republicans.
