December 14, 2017
INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017) — In case you missed it, this month Luke Messer led his primary opponents in an IndyPolitics poll on the Indiana U.S. Senate race.
When asked which primary candidate was best suited to take on Senator Joe Donnelly in the fall, 25 percent said Luke Messer.
Trailing Messer in the poll were Todd Rokita and Mike Braun who garnered 19 percent and 16 percent respectively.
Also this month, Messer’s Senate campaign announced endorsements from 30 elected leaders in Hamilton County – the highest plurality Republican-voting county in the state.
Messer’s Hamilton County endorsements include Congresswoman Susan Brooks, Representative Todd Huston, all three County Commissioners, the mayors of Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville and Westfield, as well as 21 other county, city and township elected officials.
“Momentum is building in this race, and Hoosiers are choosing Luke,” said Chasen Bullock, Messer’s Campaign Manager. “Conservative Hoosiers know Luke Messer is the best candidate to unite the party and defeat Joe Donnelly.”
Messer’s previous endorsements include Indiana Senate President Pro Tempore David Long, six former Republican State Party Chairmen and Hoosier conservative leader Jim Bopp.
