Terre Haute – Senate candidates must travel to all nine congressional districts to submit signatures for their eligibility to run.
In town today was Luke Messer.
Early this afternoon, the Republican candidate made his way to the voter registration office in the Vigo County Courthouse.
He had 500 signatures from registered voters who back him and his campaign to run for the U.S. Senate. Messer says it’s great to be in Vigo County once again.
“We’ve been combing the state for months as a grassroots team to do that and then you have to file them in the counties where you have the signatures from. It’s a big state and we’re excited about the opportunity to campaign,” says Luke Messer (R) US Senate Candidate.
Messer has been to Fort Wayne, South Bend, New Albany and Evansville.
This makes stop number 5 out of 9.
Several Republicans are running for the nomination all hoping to challenge Encumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly.
